Spain as holiday destination

Spain is a beautiful country and the perfect destination for a summer holiday. If you dream about a delicate sun, a nice tan, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, then you are in the right place. Spain has hundreds of thousands of kilometers packed with picturesque beaches, scenic views and great seaside resorts that stand out with their unique style and elegance. I am sure you will fall in love with the country, so take it into consideration as destination for one of your future holidays. If you need some help with choosing an exact destination in Spain, I can help you by recommending the spectacular island of Lanzarote.

Attractions in Lanzarote

Lanzarote is one of the Canary Islands, the one which attracts tourists with its beautiful villas costa blanca volcanic landscapes. However, it is not only the landscape that manages to attract the attention of tourists, but also the idea of seaside holidays. Located very close to the hot Sahara Desert, Lanzarote has great beaches and a delicate sun that will offer tourists relaxing days and a nice tan. Visitors have the chance to enjoy the 90 beaches spread all over Lanzarote and their great, golden sands, completely different from the black sands that dominate the beaches located on the other Canary Islands.

Lanzarote attracts 1.5 million visitors from all over the world and it does it every single year; this is one of the reasons why the island is one of the preferred tourist destinations in Spain. Tourists have the chance to enjoy the natural beaches (not the ones made by the hand of man, as you’ll find in other European destinations), the picturesque landscapes that will take your breath away and the outstanding conditions when it comes to water sports such as windsurfing.

Best beaches

Papagayo is one of the most popular beaches in Lanzarote, also known as Parrot. This beach is sheltered in the north east area of the island, very close to the elegant Playa Blanca resort. Its location makes Papagayo an accessible destination all year round, so it doesn’t matter when you decide to visit it, as long as you do it. All the beaches in Papagayo are located in a protected area by law, so I assure you that the views are absolutely fantastic. You should visit Spain and most of all, Lanzarote, as it is an outstanding tourist destination. Enjoy!

This is also where the hotels, dining places, bars as well as other establishments can be found. Food from all around the world can also be sampled in this part of the town, just stroll down the streets and you will surely find something that interests you.

Osuna is a charming town in Andalucia

Osuna is a small but charming town in Andalucia. It is the kind of town that is very interesting to stroll around and explore the nooks and crannies, especially in the evening, when you can feel the serenity. The streets look very elegant with the tiles installed in them and the whitewashed walls along with the very pristine Renaissance mansions. You can see the most beautiful of these along what is considered as main street, Calle Carrera. The Calle Carrera runs through the Plaza Mayor. It also passes by Calle San Pedro.

A very magnificent casino is also rolling here. The casino is very 1920s inspired and has Mudejar inspired decorations and a grand but bizarre ceiling. The casino can be found on the central Plaza Mayor which many consider as an ideal venue for social drinking. It is also available for the tourists to visit. On top of the hill stand two magnificent establishments, one is the ancient university and the second is the Colegiata built in the sixteenth century. The Colegiata houses the pantheon as well as the chapel used by the former dukes that Osuna had. A museum exhibiting very fine artworks can also be found here.

On the other side, the Baroque convent of La Encarnacion can be found. Artifacts dating back to the nineteenth century can be found here. The Baroque also has a gallery that you can visit.

There are a lot of choices for your accommodation while you are on vacation villa rental spain here in Osuna. However, most of them are really hard on the budget. The cheapest places you can find are Hostal Cinco Puertas as well as Hostal Caballo Blanco. Both have nice restaurants where you can sample delicious Spanish food.

The tourism office in Plaza Mayor can also help you with regard to your accommodation dilemmas. They can suggest to you the best place to stay considering your needs and of course your budget. A lot of restaurants and other establishments are located along the Calle Carrera and within the vicinity of Plaza Mayor. One of the most suggested restaurants here is Meson del Duque located at the Plaza de la Duquesa 2 up in the hills and the casino is just in front of it. The best thing about this restaurant is that you can dine outside on the terrace that is surrounded by jasmine flowers.

There are a lot of options for tourists here and surely there is something for everyone. Explore the town and its history and just be amazed.

Cataluña – Barcelona

The cosmopolitan city and capital of Cataluña is an important player in the cultural, economic and political life of Spain. A popular tourist destination, Barcelona welcomes many European travellers and cruise lines each year, and has a developed and well maintained tourist industry. The city also has an interesting atmosphere, thanks to its fiercely independent nature and own culture which sets it apart from the rest of the Kingdom of Spain.

The city is surrounded by a mountain and the Mediterranean Sea to the east, and hosts the regional government’s seats of power. It has, like many other significant cities in the country, seen waves of different settlers come into its area, from Greeks to Romans, as well as Moors. The region of Cataluña was eventually, with others, brought under centralised Bourbon control but has retained its independent culture and regional charms.

The city and surrounding areas boasts many interesting artefacts and ruins reflecting its diverse history and waves of settlers. It has beautiful cathedrals and churches, UNESCO heritage sites and Roman remains, and beautiful Arab influenced architecture. It is also at the forefront of modern Spain, at the head of the industrial era in the 1800s, the renaissance and further developments. A very interesting city and one that has something for everybody, Barcelona’s villa holiday spain local municipality has been redeveloping certain areas to further increase standards for both locals and tourists in the city. It is thanks to this that Barcelona boasts some beautiful redeveloped town plazas where locals congregate and where yearly festivities are held. La Rambla is a popular boulevard which stretches from the Catalunya Square down to the sea, and boasts local street entertainers and sellers, restaurants and cafes, and a great holiday atmosphere. The Eixample area is a modern district where you can dine in fancy restaurants and shop in world class boutiques. There’s also, of course, the beaches, the sea and the food, the trendy locals and the excellent nightlife. Sample some tapas or seafood, especially paella in one of the out door restaurants and then dance the night away in one of the many clubs and bars throughout the city.

Malaga City in Spain

A port city with more than half a million inhabitants is Malaga City. Being the sixth most populated city in Spain makes Malaga a very attractive tourism magnet. Lying in between the rivers of Guadalhorce and Guadalmedina and situated at the bottom of the hills of Axarquia hills, Malaga is one of the oldest cities in the area.

The history of this great city can be traced back to 1000 B.C. Malaga was originally established by the Phoenicians and named Malaka. Six hundred years later the Romans came along and seized Malaka until the Visigoths captured it in the fifth century A.D.

At some point in eight century A.D. the Moors invaded Spain which resulted in the Caliphate of Cordorba becoming the ruling authority of Malaka which was the original name of Malaga. Malaga was turned to a Christian ruled local in 1487 due in part to the Reconquista and renamed the city of Malaga.

During the 1960s tourism transpired into Malaga’s economy and the foundation as well as subculture of travel took off. With their infrastructure cultured around tourism, Malaga invested in excellent bus, train and ferry connections to Morocco. In addition, investments were made to create a wonderful international airport.

The center of this wonderful city is surrounded by history. The center of the villa rental spain lays behind a harbor and a friendly stroll reveals the sights such as the origin of the renowned artist Pablo Picasso, the castle of Gibralfaro, the old Moorish fortress and a the principal shopping arcade of Calle Larios. The city is astounding with a mixture of ancient and contemporary sights and sounds combined.

A tremendous history of the city is only a small amount of what Malaga delivers for visitors. There are magnificent beaches with the city positioned on the Costa Del Sol. The beaches offer magnificent water sporting amenities, beach bars and extraordinary Spanish food and many other facilities.

For those visitors that are seeking the night life, the city of Malaga is prepared each and every evening for guests. Fabulous choices in restaurants, nightclubs and bars means that you can only visit them all by returning again and again to this ancient city in one of the greatest countries of the world.

Malaga is harvesting its ancient beginnings and making the most of them by adding modern attractions to have something for every visitor to its beautiful city.

How To Hire A Car For A Spanish Holiday

A Spanish tour

Spain is absolutely outstanding; it is a country that steals the heart of each and every single tourist who visits it, so if you already decided that it is your next destination, prepare to fall in love. rent villas in spain is very popular and famous thanks to its extraordinary diversity and if you are among those who want to reach its essence, there is no better way to do it than by car. Spain is a perfect country for hiring a car, but there are a few tricks that you should know before spending your money on something like this.

Helpful tips

The first thing that you should keep into your mind is that the attractive price you are sometimes offered is not the real deal. Firms that hire cars tend not to include in the price they show all the costs. Ask what types of costs are included, as you might have to pay extra for unlimited mileage, local taxes or insurances. Since you are in Spain, the weather is extremely hot, especially during summer; this means that the air conditioning is a ‘’must’’ for your car.

Some firms don’t ask for extra costs for the air conditioning, but there are also some that consider the air conditioning a luxury that you have to pay for. Another thing you have to take into consideration is that the hire desks are extremely busy in the high peak seasons, so arriving at the airport and then going to such a desk might bring unpleasant surprises: some have no cars available. The last thing you want to do is to run from hire desk to hire desk searching for one of the cars left not hired; the worst aspect is that the car will surely not fit your interests and preferences.

Those who travel with children will have to pay for a child seat, but there are a couple of hiring desks that have already included the option in the price. Before getting in the car, check everything, especially if you booked a car in advance on the internet. There have been cases in which the customers asked for certain options and received a car that didn’t have them. This means that your comfort will have to suffer and this is one of the most important aspects during a holiday. Enjoy Spain and its breathtaking landscapes, the cosmopolite cities and the traditional villages and take advantage of the hiring car options in the county.

A Relaxed Life In Spain

Moving to Spain

Spain is a spectacular country: it is extremely diverse, so it fits the tastes and preferences of any type of tourist. It has breathtaking landscapes, modern cities with a very cosmopolite atmosphere, traditional villages that kept the customs and the traditions of the country alive and friendly inhabitants always ready to share their experiences, to meet new people and to make you fall in love with their country.

Don’t you want to be part of this amazing Spanish family? Don’t you want to become one of the inhabitants? I assure you that for one who is searching for a change in his or her life, choosing Spain can be an outstanding experience. It is not difficult to move to Spain, as you have a series of advantages that will immediately help you feel like home.

The advantages of a new country

All the inhabitants of the country are friendly people, but there is a problem with the bureaucracy. However, Spain is that type of country where every problem has a solution, so you shouldn’t worry about it! One of the biggest advantages of Spain is its health system; it can be easily compared with the health system in Great Britain and much more advanced than the one in the USA. Like this wouldn’t be enough, the private health costs less and it has already reached a higher level.

Those who decide to purchase a house in spanish villas will also be happy: all you have to do is to pay a lawyer to help you check the fact that the house is legal and to make sure that it doesn’t have any unpaid taxes, embargoes or debts. Another great advantage for those who decide to move to Spain is represented by the weather; it is extremely warm and delicate, with a spectacular sun, many hours of sunshine and not too much rain. I am sure that you will love it! You know what they say: friendly faces, happy people!

Those who haven’t decided which town or city to choose yet have the chance to use the Spanish system that described most of its cities, a system that offers information for all plans! You should know that there is a disadvantage you have to pay attention to: there are a few cities unsuitable for those who want to move with their entire family, including small children. It might be difficult to find jobs!

The three cities that are considered to be Spain's most popular are Madrid, Barcelona as well as Valencia.

Another interesting fact about Spain is the length of its coastline with beaches running along 8,000 kilometers of Spanish land.

To the rest of the world, Flamenco is known as the traditional Spanish dance, but in Spain, it is more than that. To them, Flamenco, apart from the dance part of it is also about other forms of art like singing and playing the guitar.

Soccer also plays an important part in the life of the Spanish people. This sport is introduced to children at a very young age. Due to that Spain's soccer teams, namely Real Madrid as well as FC Barcelona are very well known all over the world. Madrid is also home to three major Spanish soccer teams.

Cadiz City

Cadiz is a city in the Southwest side of Spain. It is almost completely surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. Cadiz is the first city that has ever been founded in the peninsula. The population of the city is over 127 thousand people. It is the capital city of the same name province, which is placed between those of Malaga and Seville. This city used to be a Roman port (and as a city of port it is very significant even today), which later on was conquered by the Visigoths and Moors. At the beginning of 19th century there was anti-monarchist movement founded in the city and the movement later created the first constitution of Spain.

Today the city has retained some of the buildings from the 18th of century, of which notable is the Landward Gate and the world-wide famous church of San Felipe Neri, which is where the government of Spain created the constitution, when the city was besieged by Napoleon’s forces. There is also a monument of Constitution dedicated to this event.

The old town is really charming and there are many landmarks worth visiting though, such as the Roman theatre, which is surprisingly well preserved since 1st century BC, or the Cathedral of Cadiz or La Santa Cueva. The city is especially abundant with its sacral buildings, beautiful squares and architecture. It seems rather Moorish, though there are evidences of other period of time and the newer buildings dominates in the architecture.

Of the beaches of Spain, there are two especially good and popular in Cadiz. The villa holiday spain is the most popular of them. It is the closest to the old city and you can find it between two palaces. The other is the beach La Victoria, which, on the contrary, is located in the newer district of the city. It has many good services and it is loved by both tourists and locals.

In any part of the day there is a special free atmosphere in the city. It is the perfect place to spend your leisure time in. It offers many great places for having a wonderful nightlife and there are also a wide range of lovely cafes and restaurants. Once you visit the city, you should try out some of its dishes. Since it has so long coast line, there are some great local fish foods. Whatever you like to do, here you will feel nice and comfortable.

Province Of Murcia

Murcia is the capital of province of Murcia. It is settled at the coast of Mediterranean sea between Valencia and Andalucia.

The city was founded in the first part of 9th century when it was ruled by the Arabs. Before that there could only be found some settlements from the Roman period of time. Soon after the establishment it became very important because thanks to its location and climate its agriculture was very well developed. Later on in the 13th century it was conquered by the Christians.

In the 18th century the city gained an importance in a wide area because of its well-developed silk production. It became a center of silk industry. Unfortunately, the next century turned out to be a real chaos for Murcia. It experienced looting by French forces, there was an earthquake and floods and the city inhabitants suffered from diseases of cholera and plague. However in the 20th century it developed and gained more and more importance as a city of tourism.

The city has an impressive heritage left from the various periods of time it has gone through. The Cathedral of Murcia, which was built at the end of 14th and at the beginning of 15th century, is one of the best patterns of Renaissance and Baroque of Spain you can find today. You can find the city right in the center of the old city.

It certainly isn’t the only notable building with an impressive ancient architecture you can find in the city though. There is a university of Murcia, which was founded in the 13th century and has survived the passage of time, and many other places that are definitely worth seeing. A place you mustn’t miss while visiting Murcia is the Episcopal Palace, which is also settled in the heart of the city, on the central square of Murcia.

As they are very close to each other, most of the main villa rental spain can be visited in the same day. A nice beginning would be crossing the lovely bridges over the river of Segura. Here you can see a beautiful combination of the modern and the classical style.

Murcia is a great city for those who love long walks in ancient places or sunbathing. It is never cold in this city. Since the area is mountainous and well protected from the winds, the summers are hot, while winters are a little milder. The sun almost never leaves this beautiful old place.

The town of Estepona

The town of Estepona and the surrounding area is famous for its glorious beaches which are popular amongst tourists and locals alike. Many are well developed, with a range of facilities and services available to suit all needs, with cafes, restaurants and changing facilities, as well as water sports equipment for hire. The golden sandy beaches provide a wonderful spot on which to top up your tan and take a swim to cool yourself off, or practise some water sports.

Many like to head to the Rada beach within the city limits. It has been extensively redeveloped by the local municipality to provide a pleasant beachfront with fine sand and a wide range of facilities including hire of water sport equipment, umbrellas and sun loungers, changing facilities etc. Its proximity to the town ensure this beach is popular amongst locals and tourists alike, and it can become quite busy in the summer months,

Nearby the Rada beach is the beach of El Cristo which is a nice protected beach in the form of a small cove, which is a nice spot for sunbathing and taking a safe dip in the ocean without worrying about strong undercurrents or tides. It is slightly further from the town centre, and is therefore generally less busy than the Rada beach nearby.

Others prefer to head to the spanish villas with has a stretch of long sandy beach with a good amount of facilities sporadically located along its length. It is not as busy as the Rada, but it is quite close to the town and therefore is popular in the summer months.

Aside from these main beaches mentioned above there are plenty of other beaches and coves in the town of Estepona, and further out along the coast. Try the Casasola beach or maybe the Baquero for a change, or perhaps the Bahia Dorada beach and the Natural Coast.

The choice is huge and you can be sure to find a spot on the sand on which to relax, no matter how busy the beaches become in the summer months. The micro climate of the area means the life of the beaches stretches from April to October and you can also access them during the winter months for a pleasant stroll on a clear day. There is plenty to see and do, and the beaches often have a lot of restaurants and cafes nearby or even on the beachfront themselves, in which you can enjoy a light lunch or a late afternoon drink.

The History of Alicante

The popular tourist destination of Alicante, found on the popular and stunning Costa Blanca in Spain, is a wonderful place in which to spend your holiday. Well known amongst Europeans as a great destination for sun, sea and nightlife it attracts a large number of tourists annually. The city boasts a well developed transport network and tourist facilities.

History

The city itself, like many others in the area, was subject to numerous waves of different population entering the city, who all left their mark on the area. Most notable perhaps is the influence left on the city of Alicante by the Arab tribes that took over the area. The moors played a large role in the design of the area and its streets and layout can in part be owed to them. When Alfonso finally captured the city back to Spanish hands in 1246 it began the rise of the city from part of the Valencian province to the city that we know today.

Over time the city and surrounding area began to develop itself as a prime centre of trade with active ports and harbours and commercial activities that took it to being one of the most important commercial cities in Spain. Damaged during a 7 day long bombing campaign during the French Armada, followed by the Spanish war of Succession in which its castle was partly damaged, the city played an important role in the independence war in the 1800s. This brought some setbacks to the city which began to redevelop and come to the fore again following the independence wars.

It re-established itself as an important port and holiday villas spain, and developed an extensive railroad network on which to transport goods. The city continued to expand beyond the old traditional boundaries of the old walls and the old town and developed new commercial areas outside the walls, which were later torn down.

Present Day

The city has now diversified itself from its original commercial activities and is now heavily reliant on tourism and also has a well established service sector. Its tourism network is well developed with an extensive range of facilities, accommodations and activities that cater to all. The area and city therefore receive thousands of tourists throughout the year, mainly in summer but also during the still-pleasant winter months. A range of great restaurants, cafes, beaches and parks coupled with historical and cultural activities ensure the city remains popular year round.
